Privacy policy

How layerkid.app handles data: analytics after consent, cookies and contacts.

Who we are

This website, layerkid.app, is run by the Layer team. It gives tips on dressing a child for the weather and links to the Layer app. Questions about this policy: support@layerkid.app.

Children's data

The site does not collect personal data of children. There are no accounts, profiles or forms. The age you choose in the calculator stays in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Yandex Metrica for statistics: which pages are useful, which devices are used and whether the store buttons work. They load only after you press Accept in the cookie banner; after Decline they are not loaded at all.

Advertising features are off, and we do not sell data. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Cookies

lk_consent stores your answer in the cookie banner, and lk_lang remembers the language suggestion you chose or closed. Both last 180 days and contain no personal data. After Accept, Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica add their own cookies, such as _ga and _ym_uid.

Weather and location

When you search for a city, the name is sent to our server, which requests the forecast from a weather service. The location button works only after your browser asks for permission; the coordinates are rounded and used only for the forecast. We do not store searches or coordinates.

Your IP address stays in server memory for a short time to limit requests, and the country of the request may be used to suggest a language.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, page) to protect the site from abuse and deletes them after a limited period.

The Layer app

The app has its own privacy policy, available on its App Store and Google Play pages.

Your rights

You can ask what data about you we hold, ask us to delete it or object to its use: write to support@layerkid.app, and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
