About the site
layerkid.app is a free information site about dressing children for the weather. It does not require registration. By using the site, you accept these terms; if you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
Not medical advice
The tips are general guidance based on temperature, wind, rain, UV and the child's age. They are not medical advice and do not replace your own judgement. Every child is different: check regularly whether your child is warm or cold, and ask a doctor about any health questions. Weather data comes from external sources and may be late or inaccurate.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is”. We try to keep the information correct and the site available, but we may change, pause or remove any part of it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the tips. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by our hosting provider or by external services.
The Layer app
Downloading the app and any purchases in it are governed by the terms of the App Store or Google Play and by the app's own terms. Subscription conditions are shown in the store before purchase. We do not process your payments.
Content
Texts, illustrations and the Layer mascot belong to the Layer team. You may share links and use the tips for personal purposes. Copying the content for commercial use requires our written permission.
Acceptable use
Please do not overload the site or its weather service with automated requests, do not try to bypass its limits and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may block access that harms the site or other users.
External links
Links to the App Store, Google Play and other sites lead to services we do not control. Their own terms and policies apply there.
Privacy
How we handle data is described in our privacy policy. Analytics runs only if you accept cookies.
